'I have discussed your case and the images you provided with our engineers and we believe the behaviour you are experiencing is directly related to the sensor.

I'm sorry to say this is not a part we stock and therefore we cannot sell or supply it from technical support and the camera appears to be beyond economic repair'. So I asked for just the flexy cable assembly for the matching EVF, and got no reply!

Maybe liquidising (sorry, Freudian Slip!) this company might not be such a bad idea..
