The Curragh Sons

I had 5 great years in the Curragh Sons. We played the West Coast of Ireland Annually and a few impromptu sessions on our way across the Emerald Isle. Kinvara County Galway being our regular spot. Drumtochty Castle, Auchenblae, Scotland is one experience that particularly stands out to me, in part by our temp fiddle player 'Pirastro' on a bender and the local residents kicking off at 5 AM due to our parking outside of our digs! Oh and being taken home to Derbyshire in a pickup truck as our van broke down..

Playing alongside Sean 'Woody' Wood and Gordon Trunkfield was a joy and equally with the many other musos Woody and I enlisted along the way during that time..
